Connect to Work helps people in Lancashire who need support to find work and stay in work. It is free, and you can choose if you want to join. The programme helps you overcome problems and find work that is right for you. You can join if you have a disability, a health condition, or other difficult challenges in your life. If you do not have a job, Connect to Work will help you find work that suits your skills and interests. If you already have a job but are worried about losing it, Connect to Work will give you personal support to help you keep your job.The Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub runs the programme in the local area. They work with experts in supported employment to make sure you get the help you need.
How Connect to Work Helps
- One‑to‑one support — You will talk to someone who listens and helps you plan your next steps.
- Planning your job search — You will look at your skills, goals and needs, and make a simple plan for finding work.
- Job search help — You will get help with CVs, job applications, and getting ready for interviews.
- Talking to employers — You will get help to connect with local employers, usually within your first 30 days on the programme. If you want to work for yourself, the team can also give you advice.
- Local support — Support is offered in local community places, so it is easy to get help close to home.
